Theory and Selection:

For this discussion, I chose to explore Social Media Theory because social media plays a central role in the way we communicate, form relationships, influence opinions, and share information in today’s world. I’ve always been interested in how platforms like Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and Twitter shape our perceptions of ourselves and others, and I wanted to dive deeper into the mechanisms behind these effects. Social Media Theory helps explain how online interactions differ from face-to-face communication and how these differences impact connection, identity, and community.
